If children are late, parents/carers must report to the school office and send children to class. On no account must the parent/carer accompany child to class. This is for Health and Safety on the school premises.
No Mobile Phones allowed in school, unless there are exceptional circumstances and prior authorisation has been given by the Headteacher. If children are allowed to bring a phone they must give it to the Headteacher at 9am and collect it at 3pm.
If you are going to be late in picking your child up from school at 3pm, please telephone the school and we will let your child know and keep them in school until you collect them.
If your child requires to take medicine during the course of the school day it is necessary for the parent/carer to come into the school and complete the necessary forms for administration of medicines. We will be unable to give medication if this form is not completed.
If your child has any medication in school (i.e. inhalers etc) can you please pick it up before school breaks up for the summer and bring in a fresh supply on return to school in August.
School uniform is compulsary. (You will find a list of our school uniform in the Our School menu)
No jewellery to be worn by pupils, except watches which must be removed before P.E. Education Services Guidance states in the current Master Safety File for Glasgow City the following "Personal effects (e.g. jewellery, body piercings, watches, hair slides and belts) constitute a hazard and may cause injury to themselves or others if worn whilst participating in Physical Education and must be removed". In the cases of parents suggesting they write a letter as a legal waiver, the authority cannot accept this as we have a'duty of care' to pupils and as the responsible person would be liable if there was an accident or injury irrespective of a letter.
